Wentworth Point Marinas, developed by Billbergia, is a major waterfront residential development comprising approximately 4,000 apartments across seven stages upon completion. With more than 10,000 television connection points expected across the completed development, the project represents one of DigiSat’s larger and more technically significant television distribution installations.
All stages of the development receive their television services from a central headend located in Stage 1, providing a consistent and centralised distribution platform across the site.
DigiSat was engaged to design and install the television distribution systems for the development. The first two stages were delivered using a traditional MATV system with fibre distribution, providing reliable FTA and Foxtel services across the buildings.
As the development progressed, the later stages transitioned to nbn co Fibre TV infrastructure. DigiSat was responsible for the design and installation of this solution, which became nbn co’s first Fibre TV site in Australia. This represented an important milestone in the adoption of fibre-based television distribution within large-scale residential developments.
With the system supporting thousands of residents and connection points, reliability and ongoing performance are critical. DigiSat provides 24/7 monitoring of the site and proactively upgrades equipment and infrastructure when required, helping to maintain stable and high-quality FTA and Foxtel reception across the development.
DigiSat is one of only five nbn co Fibre TV Content Service Providers (CSPs) in Australia. The company’s selection for projects of this scale reflects its long-standing focus on quality workmanship, reliable system design and dependable installation practices. For nbn co and building owners, this reliability is critical to delivering stable, trouble-free television services to residents.
The Wentworth Point Marinas project showcases DigiSat’s ability to deliver and support large-scale, multi-stage television distribution networks, while adapting the technology and infrastructure as developments evolve.
